Ontario Airport Map: Terminals, Airlines & Pickup Areas

Ontario International Airport (ONT) has a map detail that is easy to miss: Terminal 2 and Terminal 4 don’t cover the full passenger experience. International passengers who clear U.S. Customs at ONT may exit through a separate International Arrivals Terminal, while rental cars sit at another facility farther east.

That distinction matters when someone is meeting you, when you are checking an airline assignment, or when you are figuring out what happens after baggage claim.

This Ontario Airport map guide separates those functions so you can find the part of ONT that applies to your flight.

Know the Four ONT Locations

ONT passengers may need one of four different airport addresses, depending on whether they are departing, arriving internationally, or collecting a rental car:

  • Terminal 2, 2500 E. Airport Drive: departures and domestic arrivals for the airlines listed below.
  • Terminal 4, 2900 E. Airport Drive: the same for its own set of airlines.
  • International Arrivals Terminal, 2222 International Way: international arrivals that go through U.S. Customs here.
  • Rental Car Center, 3450 E. Airport Drive: rental reservations, reached by airport shuttle.

The last two are not alternative entrances to either passenger terminal.

How T2 and T4 Sit on the Map

T2 and T4 are separate buildings, not two concourses of one terminal. Because the terminals have separate street addresses, entering the address for your assigned terminal gives you a more specific destination than searching for the airport generally.

If you do end up at the wrong terminal, airport staff can point you to the quickest way across, including the shuttle covered below.

Which Airlines Use Terminal 2?

Terminal 2 serves:

  • Alaska Airlines
  • Avianca
  • China Airlines
  • Delta Air Lines
  • Frontier Airlines
  • United Airlines
  • Volaris

ONT’s interactive map covers each building’s interior, including gates, restrooms, and passenger amenities.

Which Airlines Use Terminal 4?

Terminal 4 serves:

  • American Airlines
  • JetBlue
  • Southwest Airlines
  • STARLUX Airlines

International Arrivals Has Its Own Meeting Point

This building is where international reunions happen: friends and family wait in its public lobby, outside the secure area.

Customs processing adds time after landing, so the arrival time on the board isn’t when your passenger walks out.

Pickup Rules Change with the Vehicle

Each vehicle type collecting a passenger follows its own rules at ONT.

A friend or family member

Private vehicles may collect passengers at the terminal loading area, but ONT does not permit curbside waiting.

The Cell Phone Waiting Lot at 3350 John Bangs Drive provides free waiting for up to one hour. The person collecting you can wait there until you have your bags and are ready at the terminal, then drive to the loading area.

An app-based vehicle

ONT marks dedicated Rideshare Pick Up locations outside its terminals. The airport recommends collecting your belongings before requesting the vehicle through the app.

When the vehicle arrives, compare the license plate, make and model, and the name shown in the app.

A taxi

Taxi ranks occupy the outer island in front of each terminal. ONT lists Bell Cab as its airport taxi partner and notes that its airport taxis are not wheelchair accessible; anyone who needs accessible transportation can use rideshare, paratransit, or accessible limousine options.

A prearranged limousine

ONT requires advance arrangements for limousine service. Pickup instructions can differ from private-vehicle and rideshare areas, so ask the operator for the designated meeting location before you arrive. Commercial operators must also be authorized to serve the airport.

If you are still deciding how you’ll arrive at ONT Airport, the same vehicle categories apply on the way in.

Where to Park Based on Your Terminal

ONT’s lots are easiest to understand by position:

  • Lot 2: directly in front of Terminal 2, with a Premium section a shorter walk away.
  • Lot 3: between the two terminals, a short walk from both.
  • Lot 4: right outside Terminal 4, also with a Premium section.
  • Lots 5 and 6: value parking lots served by complimentary terminal shuttles; ONT also lists both as walkable to Terminal 4.
  • Lot 1: at the International Arrivals Terminal, for international-arrival passengers. Unlike Lots 5 and 6, it has no regular shuttle stop; transfers are available by request, as explained below.

Valet booths sit along the center curb at both terminals.

Rental Cars Add a Shuttle Leg

A rental reservation adds one more stop after the carousel.

Airport shuttles connect the passenger terminals with the Rental Car Center. At T2 and T4, the shuttle stops sit on the terminal islands between the buildings and adjacent lots. At the Rental Car Center, pickup and drop-off take place in front of the facility. At International Arrivals, call 909-937-1240 to be picked up; if you are already on the shuttle and need that stop, ask the shuttle operator.

ONT states that airport shuttles generally run every 5 to 20 minutes, with lower frequency between 12:30 and 3 a.m.

For a late-night rental pickup, factor that reduced frequency in before leaving baggage claim. While you wait, QR code signs at every stop link to live shuttle locations and estimated arrival times.

What Changed Inside the Terminals in 2026

An older terminal walkthrough may not match what you see now:

  • Terminal 2: the expanded checkpoint, with two additional TSA screening lanes, was completed in July 2026.
  • Both terminals: new dedicated exit corridors help separate arriving passengers from the TSA checkpoint areas.
  • Terminal 4: the new exit corridor and upgraded restrooms were completed in August 2026, while ONT anticipates an additional screening lane in fall 2026.

These projects affect security screening and passenger flow within each building, not the terminal addresses at the top of this guide.

Putting the Map to Work

Four questions cover most trips through ONT:

  1. Which terminal does your airline use?
  2. Which building do you need: that terminal, International Arrivals, or the Rental Car Center?
  3. Which pickup area or parking lot matches the way you are arriving or leaving?
  4. What does your boarding pass say on the day? Airline and gate details can change, so the boarding pass is the final reference.

Everything else on the map follows from those four answers.
