Independence Day will be celebrated in Los Angeles with colorful parades, festivals, entertainment, food, fun, and fireworks displays. The following are some of the events:
“All-American” celebration aboard the Queen Mary
from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
There will be special live entertainment including a performance by the hit 80’s artists The Pointer Sisters, a patriotic movie in the Queen Mary Theater, historic tours, games for the entire family, arts and crafts, and more. The night will be topped off with the Queen Mary’s signature fireworks spectacular while patriotic music is being played.
July 4th Block Party at Grand Park – FREE
An eight-block party presented by Grand Park and the Music Center will stretch from Temple to 1st Street between Hope and Spring. Two main stages will have entertainment by LA musicians in a variety of genres with the music starting at 2:15 PM. Included will be the Inner-City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles and the Angel City All-Star Brass Band. Games for kids ages 4 through 14 will be on the Grand Park Event Lawn. This is an alcohol-free event, but beverages and food will be available from more than 25 vendors. The evening will culminate in a fireworks display launched from the Civic Center skyline.
4th of July Jazz and Blues Festival in Leimert Park – FREE
Vision Theatre back lot, 3341 W. 43rd Pl., Los Angeles
In addition to the wonderful music, there will be free watermelon, other delicious food to buy, children’s arts and crafts and face painting, plus more.
Pacific Palisades Americanism Event – FREE

The parade and skydivers will start at 2:00 PM. The concert gates will open at 4:00 PM for children’s activities for children. The Main Stage Concert will be a 6:00 PM. A fireworks display will start at 9:00 PM p.m.
Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade and Festival – FREE
July 2 through 4
This is Southern California’s biggest Independence Day celebration. The three-day-long festival will include entertainment and music with tributes to Surf’s Up Beach Boys and After Party 80’s tribute, and more. Food trucks will have refreshments. The 113th Parade with the theme “United We Stand” will be at 10:00 AM on July 4. Fireworks will light the skies over the pier beginning at 9:00 PM.
LA Coliseum’s Annual 4th of July Fireworks Festival – FREE
Noon to 10:00 PM
The free concert and festival in Exposition Park is completed with a 45-minute fireworks display in the evening.
